This past weekend we held our very first group pin exhibit and it went so well even this June Gloom weather isn’t getting us down! We’ve recently seen a resurgence in lapels and we thought, well, why not host a group pin show this Artwalk? What a perfect way to start the summer off by getting everyone’s summer swag ready with un chingon de very cool pins, right?
We were a little sad that the weather on Saturday was grey and gloomy, but it didn’t stop the gente from coming out to support us and all the exhibitors! Our group show went so much better than we could have expected and we had such an incredible turnout! Before the night was even over, we’d already sold out of a few of the pins like the very popular Cortez by Move in Silence Co.
Our group show consisted of over 15 different featured artists, with varying types of pins, from enamel to handmade / hand-painted and a few wooden pieces. We even showcased our very own limited edition HomeGirls pin. We only made 100 of these babies, so ya’ll better jump on these before they’re all gone!
Outside we had our very favorite DJ Spiñorita setting the vibe for the night as well as food by the fine people of Highland Park BBQ. They had us drooling all night with the smokey smells of BBQ wafting into the shop the entire night. If you haven’t had the chance to check them out yet, we highly recommend you do!
The HighlandPark ArtWalk has always held a special place in our hearts and we look forward every month to bringing new art to our community and allowing for different types of people to come through our doors. We are constantly surprised at the support our neighborhood, friends and family show us each month and we are very grateful to you all! We are always searching for new ways to showcase what inspires us and our Pin Vida show was yet again another success! Although we sold out of many of the pins already, we are working on having the exhibitors restock for the duration of the month.
